Lola Siren - Baby Monster + Stacey's Dream

Label owner, DJ, producer and elevator of taking couch surfing to an art, part time Sydney resident and international hobo Lola Siren has spent the last 3 years honing her skills all around the European and US continents. Initially splitting her time between Berlin and Amsterdam before basing herself in Hamburg and holding down residencies in the notorious Reeperbahn and Kiez district (an homage to one of her biggest inspirations, the Beatles) were instrumental in sharpening her already intuitive DJ style. Six hour sets encompassing almost every musical genre known to man in some of Europe’s hardest partying cities will do that to you.

Dancing between genres and enjoying the thrill of opening people’s minds and ears to the possibility of new sounds has given her an edge over a competitive market. Being one of the only Australian (let alone female) DJs to hold down Hamburg residences while also playing at the creme de la creme of electro venues has ensured a certain notoriety and her work with Hamburg based electro label “Raving Loony Records” has led to TV and magazine appearances and gigs in London, Amsterdam, Barcelona and Los Angeles (including being one of the first non strictly rock DJs to be booked at the Whisky A Go Go) to name a few.

In 2011 her production and vocal work as part of the duo Make Party had success in the German club charts (hitting #6) with remixes being picked up for compilations for distribution throughout Europe and the world.

Returning to her homeland for a gig packed 2011/2012 summer and bringing her quirky blend of shameless party music that at times seemingly ignores genre boundaries but has one single minded purpose – fun.

Now splitting her time between Sydney and Los Angeles and focusing on her own indie label, Chookie Music (in cahoots with DCUPand Jerry Soer of Vitalic Noise ) and production, sitting still is not an option.
