GOSPEL - Disasters Running Wild

London-based duo GOSPEL, comprised of vocalist Beth Anderton-Allen and multi-instrumentalist Chris Willsher have recently unveiled their remarkably impressive, not to mention well-produced debut single "Disasters Running Wild", which has already received rave response from indie tastemakers such as; HillyDilly, Gold Flake Paint and Breaking More Waves among many, many others. Needless to say, GOSPEL's first offering is an alluring introduction to an emerging new duo with a very promising future ahead of them.

In regards to the single, GOSPEL's Chris Willsher explains:

"I've been in a band called Creatures of Love for the past 5 years, touring with The Joy Formidable, Cold War Kids, The Go! Team and And So I Watch You From Afar. But when we disbanded last September I was left in a bit of a wilderness and was ready to pack it all in, but when buying an acoustic piano from my bedroom in the Autumn the delivery guy convinced me that the time was now to capitalize on that success and use it find another singer so I started advertising, I had a wealth of response but Beth Anderton-Allen’s voice shone through and I knew I had to work with her. Straight away she sent me a 2 minute demo of one of her songs called "Disasters Running Wild" which I re-worked and extended into a 4 minute ballad and got the serviced of my friend Mikko Gordon to mix, he had recently been working with Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich on Atoms for Peace and Ultraista, so I knew it was a good time to work with him. So very quickly the song came together. I play all the instruments on the track, guitars, real piano and just worked in a simple drum loop, it’s always my starting point, once I find a drum sound, I can work with the song comes alive. Then I produced the track in my bedroom from that point on."

"Disasters Running Wild" will be released on July 7th via Not Like That Records and available to download on iTunes and Bandcamp.
