Deidre & the Dark - Boss Lady

Brooklyn-based outfit Deidre & the Dark, fronted by singer/songwriter Deidre Muro alongside her co-producer and husband David Perlick-Molinari (of French Horn Rebellion, who together with Deidre's brother Derek also moonlight as members of Violet Sands) have just shared their exceptional new single called "Boss Lady".

Speaking on the track, Deidre says:

"I wondered, 'Who is this?' She was a little different than the femme fatales and delicate gamines I had written in the past. But it felt very aligned with a current archetype, a really positive one, and I embraced it. I realized it's someone who has decided to take ownership of their lives, of their work, of anything accepting all the perks and responsibilities that come with it and then goes out and just delivers. The most awesome thing this character has taught me, is that anyone can be a boss if they decide to."
