Having first burst onto the scene back in 2016 with the release of her bold and bawdy debut single, "Smoke Weed Eat Pussy", and again later that year with her follow-up track, "Housewife Spliffin'" then "Spun" in early 2017, Swedish artist Ängie now returns with her brand new single called "Dope", which features dark bass and rolling trap beats intertwined with a heady emotional flow. "Dope" also serves as the first taste of Ängie's forthcoming debut album, Suicidal Since 1995, which is due for release on April 6th via Universal. The album showcases a new and ever-more exciting side to Ängie, developing her sound in dark and unexpected ways that are sure to further cement her status as one of the hottest names to come out of Sweden.
Speaking on the track, Ängie says:
"'‘Dope' is actually a love song, but within it I confuse love with the rush for music and drugs. It's a love song to music, dope and the person that makes me wanna fight for it."
