Killer On The Dancefloor are a dynamic duo from Brazil, hell bent on carving out a niche for themselves in the Electronica scene. With credits that range from remixing Larry Tee for Ultra Records to a remix for The Qemists on the Ninja Tune imprint, it is fair to say these guys have some serious talent.
Now, with their debut album release on the 3Plus label “Criminal” due out in but a few short weeks, “Running Away” serves as the precursor to the album project, featuring a strong vocal performance from Copcabana Club’s Ale and remixes from DATABASE and Alexander Technique.
DATABASE are seasoned workhorses. A collaboration with French Horn Rebellion brought them to the world’s attention ins the shape of “Beaches & Friends” and ongoing work for France’s major purveyor of quality electronic music, Kitsuné, is keeping them at the top of their game. DATABASE’s remix gives the track a sort of Miami beach vibe with a vibrant, uptempo beat that has become synonymous with their eternal party sound.
Alexander Technique has seen his productions released by labels such as Size Records and he continues to be a force to be reckoned with on the dancefloor as well as in business terms, with the launch of his own label DJs Are Not Rockstars. The Technique remix is more cutthroat and dancefloor oriented than the original, with a real emphasis on the bassline and some hard-edged beats that will enthuse any wanton club goer. Those familiar with Technique’s work will surely be pleased that his musical ethos has remained strong and true.
