Rainy Milo (feat. Kossisko) - Bankrobber

At just 18 years of age, British recording artist Rainy Milo oozes confidence and attitude. Her voice is soulful and mature, while her music blends hip-hop, R&B, jazz, and pop into something effortlessly cool, forward-thinking, and hugely accessible. Today marks the premiere of Rainy Milo's first official US single, "Bankrobber", a cover of The Clash's 1980 single, which also features the debut performance of Kossisko.

"I thought it was cool how authentically and rawly The Clash represented the British angst that was around at their time," states Milo. "'Bankrobber' was so far removed from the style of music I make that I instantly felt inspired to cover it. After looking into the band's history, my interest became even more piqued when I learned that they had also come from a working class background and were inspired by island and reggae music, like me with my British and Caribbean background. Then upon meeting Kossisko, I knew he would be the perfect fit for a feature as well."

"Bankrobber" will appear on the stateside release of Milo's critically acclaimed debut album, This Thing Of Ours, which drops in February 2015 in a freshly inked deal with Big Picnic Records and her own Limey imprint. Upon its UK release, Q Magazine's 4-star review celebrated the album as "a near-perfect album" while Mojo noted her "emotional richness, visual clarity and the ring of truth."

Rainy Milo will be making her New York City debut at this year's annual CMJ Music Marathon in October with additional details on her debut album and more tour dates to be announced soon.
