Following the success of his recently released debut single "The Bridge" back in April, rising singer/songwriter Daniel James, who originally hails from Northern Ireland but now resides in London has just unveiled his new single "Ain't No Money", the lead and title track off his forthcoming EP scheduled for release on July 20th via Grey Sky Records.
As an avid documentary film watcher, Daniel James takes song inspiration from sourcing topics which he relates back to his own experiences and conveys through his unmistakable voice and unique take on pop that combines soul, folk and gospel. According to the single's press release, "Ain’'t No Money" is track’ which is wrapped in personal metaphors about greed, money, power and dancing with the devil. It builds slowly with gospel influenced vocals before launching into a huge soul chorus backed by sharp keys and intense guitars.
The new EP also features three other tracks; ‘"We Are The Fire"’, "‘We Own Our Love"’ (acoustic) and "‘Waster"’, with a special full recording of ‘"We Own Our Love"’ available now as a free download on the Daniel James's Facebook page. ‘
