Originally from Birmingham but now based in London, up-and-coming girl duo Ekkah, comprised of longtime friends Rebekah Pennington and Rebecca Wilson have just shared their new 5-track mixtape of gorgeous sun-kissed pop simply titled Summer Mixtape, which features their infectious debut track "Figure It Out" alongside three brand new demos plus and a cover of Patrice Rushen's "Forget Me Nots".
Ekkah's music brings together simultaneously polished and charmingly homespun, hooky FM-tinged pop/rock, sultry, bass-driven r&b and summery yet post-punk spiked disco beats. The mix tape is as a kind postcard of what the band have been working on ahead of their forthcoming debut EP which will follow later this summer.
