REYNA - The Way I Loved You

Milwaukee-by-way-of-Texas indie-pop duo REYNA, comprised of sisters Victoriah and Hannah Gabriela Banuelos, have today released their new single called "The Way I Loved You", which was recorded at the legendary Capitol Records Studios. "The Way I Loved You" continues the sisters string of infectious, glimmering pop following previously released singles "Cool With It", "Baby Forget It" and "Heartbeat" which they worked on with Drew Pearson (Kesha, Galantis, Kygo, Wrabel) and Simon Oscroft (Frills, The Aces) and earned them stamps of approval from tastemakers such as Music Week, NYLON, Billboard Pride, Gay Times, Beats1/Apple Music and MTV. This was further cemented with support from UK music retailer giant HMV declaring them as a ‘Next Big Thing’ and opening for artists such as Kesha, CHVRCHES and X Ambassadors.

Speaking of the track, Victoriah says:

"When I went to Mexico for college I was just beginning to discover myself and feeling comfortable with my sexuality. I fell in love hard for a girl I met and it was the most intense, young crazy love you could imagine. I ended up breaking her heart and simultaneously breaking my own for a very long time. 'TWILY' is about wanting to love someone new with that same intensity, without caution or fear. But it's almost impossible because every new relationship you’re more and more guarded. It’s almost like you’re protecting your heart instead of letting yourself fall in love."
