Thieves Like Us, the electronic trio that's two parts Swedish, one part American, and a musical mashup in more ways than just the members' nationalities. Named for the eponymous 1984 New Order song, these guys have blown up overseas (they've made cameos on the Kistune compilations and have toured constantly since their start in 2006), but we think it's time that those of us stateside get tuned into the band's dark party tracks as well.
They have an underground disco sound that reminds us a little of a punk-pop marriage of Daft Punk and Joy Division, and although the group claims they don't fit in well at nightclubs, it's only a matter of time before their newest single "Marie Marie" starts blasting from the speakers.
Look for "Marie Marie" on Bleed Bleed Bleed, the forthcoming album from Thieves Like Us.
