Sleeptalkre - Fractions

Nashville-based synth-pop duo Sleeptalkre, formerly known as The Queen and King and comprised of Houston natives Caroline Shumate and Greg Graves, have just shared their new single along with its accompanying music video for "Fractions", which also serves as the first taste of their forthcoming 4-song debut EP, Pep Talk, due out on March 3rd.

Self-written, performed, and produced by both Caroline and Greg with the help of producer/mixing engineer Kyle Dreaden, who has previously worked with the likes of TOTEM, Thrillers and Ugly Kids Club, Pep Talk is full of danceable, genre-defying pop songs. From 80's synth pop to R&B-inspired ballads and pulsating, hip hop-influenced production, the record's four tracks put the duo's versatility on full display.

Speaking on the track, the duo says:

"'Fractions' was a complete accident for us. We wrote it the day before we went into the studio to start recording our EP, and the demo came together in a couple of hours. It's so confident and sure of itself. We had to have it on our record. It's definitely our sassiest song that we've written, and we're pumped to have it as the first release for Sleeptalkre.

"Fractions" is available now on iTunes.
