Luna Shadows - Cheerleader

Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter (and proud to say one of our Promising Discoveries on HumanHuman) Luna Shadows returns today with her first new single of 2017 called "Cheerleader", the follow-up to her critically-acclaimed debut EP, Summertime, released last year. Written and produced by Luna Shadows herself along with longtime collaborators Brad Hale (aka Sombear) and Thom Powers (of The Naked and Famous), "Cheerleader" is dark, atmospheric and downright sultry electronic pop ballad.

Speaking on the track, Luna Shadows says:

"For whatever reason, our society rarely equates femininity, softness, and vulnerability with power, influence, and achievement; this song and its visuals are intended to challenge that idea by suggesting that the game can be won by silently plotting on the sidelines... I've always admired how the moon elegantly & clandestinely controls the tides, from a distance and with an invisible pull. 'Cheerleader' is a song for every queen who ever whispered in the ear of a kin"

"Cheerleader" is available now on iTunes.

Premiere via NestHQ.
