So begins THE WARMEST PLACE, the debut record from Sydney’s Catcall.

"Catcall is the moniker of electronic pop artist Catherine Kelleher. Since the project’s inception in 2007 Catcall has transformed from lo-fi beat purveyor to sassy and inventive dance pop artist. Catherine cut her musical teeth as a teenager in DIY punk group Kiosk, a band famed for their polarizing and bratty no-wave noise sound that eventually discovered a pop sensibility within the aggression and urgency of punk rock.

With an incredibly wide range of influences and a frightening obsession with pop music from all eras, Catherine created Catcall as project where she could explore her pop sensibility further on her own within the realms of beats and synthesizers.

It’s been some time in the making, but THE WARMEST PLACE is an album that will take you somewhere. Exactly where is up to you, but Catcall has a few ideas."
