Los Angeles' Goldroom led by songwriter/producer Josh Legg announced earlier today that on September 9th they'll be releasing their new 6 song EP entitled, Embrace and to celebrate Goldroom have recorded a cover of Elliott Smith's "St. Ides Heaven" which you can download for free here.
"Elliott Smith is one of my songwriting idols, simple as that. Sometimes I really feel like the emotional songwriting part of music gets a bit lost within the dance music world, which was a big reason I picked this amazing song to cover. I just wanted to try and do my best to honor such a great musician and one of my favorite songs."
On September 11th, Goldroom will set out for a 24-date North America live tour supporting the EP's release.
