New York City-based rapper, poet, and former street performer Accent has today unveiled his new single called "Starshine", the follow-up to his previous track "Belief", released last month. "Starshine" features a gorgeous hook from the always illustrious and magnificent King Deco as well as another lyrically impressive verse courtesy of KXNG Crooked, who is also 1/4 of powerhouse rap group Slaughterhouse (signed to Eminem's Shady Records).
According to the single's press release: "Starshine" uses the guiding light of the North Star as a metaphor for how Accent stands out within the music industry, and sheds light on how commercial rap is used as a tool by the government to perpetuate capitalism - as well as further class divisions by idealizing material wealth.

"Starshine" is available now on iTunes.
