Rita Satch - Love You Like I Do

Once again we owe HillyDilly a debt of gratitude for introducing us to a new artist that we might have otherwise missed out on. This time, it's Melbourne-based singer/songwriter Rita Satch who recently released her new single, "Love You Like I Do", the first single taken from her forthcoming self-titled EP. Release date TBA.

Bio: Husky, powerful and tragic, Rita Satch’s voice has fast developed a reputation as an unforgettable presence in Melbourne’s neo-soul scene, inspired equally by the pop melodies and rich harmonies of Motown as by the dark soulful beats and modern grooves of the UKs underground.

Rita's inimitable and powerful voice garnered her the attention of some of Australia's most acclaimed musicians, singing with Australian jazz greats such as Allan Zavod and Mark Fitzgibbon, who would go on to call Rita, the best singer songwriter to hit the scene in a long time. As a jazz singer and chanteuse, Rita thrived and her debut EP, Awoken (available now on iTunes) led to her scoring support slots with Australian legends such as Renee Geyer, Kate Ceberano and Christine Anu.

Influenced by contemporary beats, the music of Rita Satch has transformed into a darker, groovier and sexier beast. Produced by Ryan Ritchie, aka RHyno (who also produced Kimbra's ARIA award winning single "Cameo Lover" as well as emerging new group Passerine's single "Ready To Begin") and featuring legendary violinist Tim Fain (Black Swan), Rita's upcoming EP showcases commanding vocal swells balanced with intimate drunken admissions, exposing the fragile atmosphere of these late-night sleepless sessions.

Widely lauded for her dominating and seductive live performances, Rita Satch is a modern day siren – welcoming you inside of her mind, body and soul with no promises of letting you out.
