Introducing incredibly talented South East London-based singer/songwriter Laura Jae.
Born in Greenwich and raised within the walls of London, Laura grew up on a diverse musical diet that included her mother's collection of country music, from Norah Jones to The Carpenters. Meanwhile, her musician father filled the family home with the songs of Sade, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Toni Braxton, influencing the soulful tones of her sound today and are evident in her recently released debut EP, Silver Lined Hearts.
Having been described as sitting somewhere between the darkly atmospheric tones of James Blake and The xx, the experimental sentiments of Bjork and the gritty melodies of King Krule, Silver Lined Hearts is a series of delicately composed electro-cinematic soul collaborations between Laura Jae and her trusted producer Amøur.
Silver Lined Hearts is available now as a free download. Click here.
