Genevieve - Colors

Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Genevieve (full name Genevieve Schatz and former frontwoman for Chicago-based indie rock band Company of Thieves) has just unveiled the music video for her delightful and inspiring power pop anthem, "Colors", directed by Mia Lidofsky and taken from her debut EP, Show Your Colors, which features the production work of Ken Caillat (Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson), Ted Bruner (Kesha), Boots Ottestad (Robbie Williams), Jason Gilbert (Christina Aguilera), and Mike Green (Paramore).

"Show Your Colors is about celebrating your unique self" Genevieve told Billboard, who were granted an exclusive full stream of her EP earlier this month). "In a world where people can be quick to judge and analyze, it can be difficult to overcome the fear and express our unique truth, our unique colors." She goes on to explain, the EP is "about standing up for yourself," she says. "I laughed a lot while writing and recording it because the sentiment of 'show your colors' is so simple, yet something I struggle with every day of my life!"

Genevieve's Show Your Colors EP is out now on Wind-up Records and available on iTunes.
