Introducing up-and-coming 19-year-old Montreal-based singer/songwriter Emily Kafoury, aka NŌVA, who has today unleashed her rather brilliant debut single called "More", which she wrote and recorded herself and was co-produced and mixed by Connor Seidel of Evermoor Audio. Although the sound of "More" is upbeat and fun, the song itself actually has dark undertones. In a recent interview with CONFRONT Magazine, NŌVA says:
"I wrote it ('More') when I was really feeling like I wanted something more from people. At the same time, it was happening with many different interpersonal relationships I had. Like when you text a guy 'Hi,' and it takes him three days to answer and you’re putting all of yourself out there and you’re not getting back anything. It's about wanting more and wanting something you can’t have."
Listen to "More" as well as with her cover of Banks' "Under the Table" below and stay tuned for even more new music from NŌVA as she is currently working on her debut EP.
"More" is available now on iTunes.
