Ava James - Move On (Prod. By Cold Courage)

Continuing to define herself as most distinctive young artists to come out of London's left-field electronic soul scene, 21-year-old singer/songwriter Ava James captivates listeners once again with her new Cold Courage-produced single entitled "Move On".

"Move On" is slow burn left-field pop that climaxes into a breathless frenzy. Alluring and foreboding, this tense soulful song is based around an electric production coloured darkly by moody piano, tumbling arpeggiated synths and abstracted vocal samples.

Speaking of the track Ava James said:

"This is one of the favourite tracks I've written. I really enjoyed the inventiveness and tension that Cold Courage created on his debut EP so was happy that we could write together. Lyrically the song is about when you invest so completely in someone but you know if that energy is going to be reciprocated."

"Move On" is the fourth track from Ava James’ forthcoming self-titled EP, which also features collaborations with some of the premiere names in emerging music (Maths Time Joy, Tropics and Leo Kalyan etc.). The EP is a dynamic exploration and blend of Ava James’ distinctive voice, vulnerable lyrics and vibrant brand pop-tinged electronic soul.

Premiere via Noisey.
