Out of all the bands we've blogged about in the past one of our longtime favorites has easily got to be Los Angeles-based electronic pop duo Pr0files, comprised of Lauren Pardini (vocals/keys) and Danny Sternbaum (producer/guitars). Having delivered such devastatingly good indie pop tunes last year like "Empty Hands", "I Know You Still Care" and "Get it Up", the pair return today to present us with their first new offering of 2016 called "Like A Knife", which also serves as the latest single to be lifted from the duo's highly-anticipated debut album Jurassic Technologie, due for release on February 23rd via Straight A Records.
Speaking on the track, Pr0files says:
"We recorded a lot of sounds in our our hometown, Los Angeles, for this album. One of our favorite moments shows up at the end of this song when a giant police helicopter was noisily hovering over Venice Beach as we were trying to just chill there one day. You can hear the waves crashing mixed in with the noise of the engines which felt like a perfect fit for a song that praises the dizzying effects of lust."
