Meet enigmatic newcomer Skott, who has today unveiled her impressive debut single entitled "Porcelain", a joint release between B3SCI Records and Chess Club Records.
Having grown up in a forest commune, Skott thrived in an environment run by 'outcast' folk musicians. Together they built a very small but very supportive community there, quite remote from anywhere of note. And although Skott was exposed her to music while she grew up in this unorthodox childhood, Skott didn't actually hear any contemporary music until she went to the city for the first time in her mid-teens.
In regards to "Porcelain", Skott herself says:
"The most precious things take time and care to build, but take only a fraction of that time to destroy or break. 'Porcelain' is about how you can spend limitless time creating something - trust, for example - but you can also let it fall to the ground in a second."
Listen to "Porcelain" below.
"Porcelain" will be released on limited edition 7" vinyl on July 29th, alongside exclusive vinyl-only B-side, "Wolf". Pre-order here (US) or here (UK).
Premiere via Pigeons & Planes.
