Dagny (feat. Børns) - Fool's Gold

Following the massive success of her debut single, "Backbeat", which quicky caught the attention of tastemaking music sites such as NYLON, The 405, Stereogum and Idolator, just to name a few and to date has already racked up well-over 18 million Spotify streams, Tromsø-born songstress Dagny Sandvik, better known mononymously as Dagney is back with her long-awaited follow-up single called "Fool's Gold". Featuring Michigan artist Børns and written with Tommy English and DeLacey, "Fool's Gold" is a hugely confident second offering complete with a potent blend of her trademark piano-laden instrumentals, infectious choruses, and distinctly Scandinavian-tinged vocals. In addition, Dagny has also announced that her upcoming debut EP, which will be released on August 4th via Republic Records.

Speaking on the track and how the Børns collaboration came about, DAGNY says:

"The song is about looking back on a relationship and realising that maybe it was not quite what you first thought. And the big question you ask yourself: if you will ever have that feeling again. It was Tommy who introduced the song to Børns - who loved it. When I heard his feature for the first time, I knew the song was complete. He is a wonderful singer and songwriter and I think he gives the song a new dimension."

Meanwhile, Børns had this to say on his work on "Fool's Gold"

"When Tommy first played me the initial demo of "Fools Gold" I was instantly drawn into the effortless delivery of her powerful vocal. After one listen I swear I was humming it for a week. I'm stoked to be featured on Dagny's single, it's a timeless jam."
