Introducing intriguing newcomer and soon to be a household name, GHITA, who was born in Casablanca to a Spanish-Moroccan mother and a Moroccan father. GHITA grew up between Spain, Morocco and Switzerland, where she was exposed to contrasting worlds. After high school, Ghita moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music, where she spent three years studying songwriting and performance. Her first show as GHITA was in June 2015 as the opening act for Maroon 5 during the Mawazine Festival in Morocco. GHITA's musical influences include pop icons such as Lorde, Lana del Rey, the Weekend and rappers like Drake, Kanye West, J Cole. Now based in Los Angeles, the emerging popstress has just shared her new single called "HateULoveU", which was co-written with Charlie Snyder and Oktavian (who also previously co-wrote tracks for longtime favorites of ours, Jojee and Lara Maxen) and produced by XELA. "HateULoveU" will be featured on GHITA's forthcoming debut EP, which hopefully will be released sometime this year. Fingers crossed.
