New Jersey native Donna Missal first electrified the blogosphere last year with the release of her debut single "Keep Lying" that showcased her enrapturing and passionately raw vocals. Musically she fits somewhere between the smoky pop softness of Lana Del Rey and the soulful strength of Amy Winehouse with an extra added grittiness that can only be described as Donna. Now following her previous single, "Sick", released back in April, Donna returns with her latest offering called "The Keeper," a downtempo tune with a jazzy soulfulness.
Speaking on the process, Donna says:
"'The Keeper' was written at Diamond Mine studio in Queens NY, with some guys I've since grown really close to as collaborators. They work with artists like Lee Fields and Sharon Jones who I have so much respect for. We get together and listen to hip-hop and old soul records and make songs that reflect our influences while sort of riding their own wave.."

"The Keeper" is available now on iTunes.
