Following the release of their debut album,
Endless Optimism in 2014, which earned them a Norwegian Grammy nomination for 'Best New Act,' as well as heavy radio play and television performances, Norwegian duo Elsa & Emilie have today unleashed their brand new single called "Au Volant", which also serves as the lead track to be taken from their forthcoming sophomore album due out in early 2017. Written by the duo themselves and produced by Kristoffer Bonsaksen (Highasakite, Emilie Nicolas), "Au Volant" is haunting ballad lined with sleek hip-hop undertones and sparse electronics, while also showcasing the duo's progression into a darker, brooding territory cradled by their signature lush harmonies.
Speaking on the track, Elsa & Emilie says:

This was the last song we wrote for the album. The title is French and means 'driving'. 'Au Volant' is all about the atmosphere, it's not a story, but a feeling."
