New York City-based duo Slow Sugar, comprised of vocalist Danielle Harris and multi-instrumentalist/producer Alex Utay, have just unveiled yet another compelling and atmospheric slice of indie pop perfection called "Pieces", the follow-up to their widely successful debut "Hypnotic Love", which racked up a modest 75,000 combined streams across Spotify and Soundcloud in its first month and was featured on Spotify's Weekly Buzz playlist, not to mention also received high praise from tastemakers such as Idolator, PressPlay OK, Baeble Music and PopWrapped, among many others.
Speaking on the track, Alex Utay explains:
"'Pieces' is a song about clarity and resilience. On the surface, it's a breakup song - but it doesn't focus on anger or resentment. It instead captures the moment where you realize you can be whole again after losing yourself in a relationship."
