Little Monarch - No Matter What

Introducing Little Monarch, a Los Angeles-based indie-pop trio comprised of Casey K, Lanita Smith and Nick Setter, and whose backstory is as intriguing as the music they make.

Before the formation of Little Monarch, Casey K, who besides having her own jazz album and publishing company to her credits, has had her music featured on a number of TV networks, including VH1, MTV, A&E and ESPN, not to mention, she has also written for and was featured on songs by Far East Movement, Parra For Cuva, Mandy "Grace" Capristo, Clyde Carson and more. Having performed as a solo artist for years Casey felt something was lacking. As luck would have it, she soon met Nick, a Berklee College of Music graduate who had interned at the school at which Casey taught. The pair became instant friends and writing partners. However, somewhere in that process, the duo became a trio after Casey saw a band one night at the House of Blues and became enamored with their keyboardist, Lanita, and ever since the three have been churning out hit after hit - which bring us to today as Little Monarch have just shared their highly infectious and energetic feel-good indie pop gem called "No Matter What", which also serves as the first single off their upcoming self-titled debut EP, due out this Friday (October 21st).

Speaking on the track, Lanita Smith (vocals, keys) says:

"It's a tune that crosses boundaries in hopes to meet everyone where they are. It promotes good vibes and screams to me that it's here to inspire and help us all have a little more faith with our individual paths."

Meanwhile, Nick adds:

"'No Matter What' is my favorite track from this EP. There is a positive vibe throughout, from the music to the lyrics. I hesitate to imply what the song means to me as I really want each listener to interpret it from their own perspective."
