Belfast-based indie pop duo New Portals have today shared their new single called "Stereo", which also serves as the lead single and title track to be taken from their forthcoming debut EP, due out on March 10th. Produced by Lewis Gardiner (Prides, Kloe, Cherryade), the track opens with crisp synths and hushed vocals before erupting into a full-fledged pop banger.
Speaking on the track, the duo says:
"We've gone more 'pop' than usual for this one - we're experimenting. It's a nostalgic reflection on love, and whether or not it's worth it. Originally, we wrote it for a teenager to sing - then we decided that we'll just keep pretending to be teenagers ourselves for another decade."
Listen to "Stereo" below.
Premiere via Dork.
