Eliza - Wide Eyed Fool

London born and raised singer/songwriter Eliza (formerly Eliza Doolittle) has today unveiled her new single and video for "Wide Eyed Fool", a sultry, piano-led statement of intent, highlighting Eliza’s intensely personal songwriting. Eliza has already carved out an impressive career, her eponymous debut album went Platinum in the UK, spawning a handful of top 40 singles – including the chirpy earworms "Skinny Genes" and "Pack Up"; and her 2013 collaboration with Disclosure, "You & Me", was one of the duo's biggest selling singles to date.

After taking a step back over the last four years, Eliza went about dismantling the rigid structure around her to get back to her base and really discover what she wanted.
"When you're young, you do what you should do, rather than what you really feel. I was always battling between that pull of my gut, and people talking in my ear," she says.

Eliza has also recently started her own Get In My Head series, which so far consists of four sprawling mixtapes with interlacing snippets of new music that she hosts on NTS Radio as a way for her fans to dip their toes into tracks that influence her.

"Wide Eyed Fool" is the first offering of many from Eliza's new, independently released trajectory and with lots more music still to come, 2017 is set to be an exciting and surprising year for Eliza and her fans.
