Madeline Kenney - Big One

Seattle-born, Oakland-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Madeline Kenney has today unveiled her brand new single called "Big One", which follows her previously released dream-pop gems "Rita" and "Always", and is taken from her forthcoming debut full-length, Night Night At The First Landing, due out on September 1st via Company Records. The album was written, arranged and recorded at home by Kenney herself, and produced by Toro Y Moi's Chaz Bear. "I kind of wish I could write about love the way that everybody else seems to be able to," Kenney told The Fader about the song. "But when it comes down to it, I can't get serious without breaking the tension or setting the stage with some big, dumb, mildly inappropriate joke. I like to laugh at everything, but it doesn't mean I'm not sincere.".
