Patti Yang made her introduction as a solo artist in the UK in 2012, when she teamed up with Hurt's breakthrough producer Joe Cross to release two EPs, Wires and Sparks and Hold Your Horses. The result was an eclectic and adventurous sounding pop record that got talked up by XFM’s X-Posure and Radio 6 alike. Jagz Kooner and Autokratz provided remixes to both releases that got enthusiastically reviewed by electronic dance press such as DJ Mag and Mixmag which intensified the attention of the online press and fans alike.
Shortly after releasing her last EP, Patti disappeared into her studio to work on the follow up and the result is a new self-produced full length album due for a UK release later this year.
"I Am Ready", featured as a limited time free download, is a taster track which illustrates Patti’s natural lean to the left, pushing the boundaries in combining electronics with live instrumentation to achieve a lush blend of ice-cool – textured soundscapes with an hint of psychedelic heritage of the Californian dessert that became Patti’s inspirational home away from home during the making of the album.
