Auckland-based electronic producer Suren Unka has just released his new single, "130" off his forthcoming debut album, El Chupacabra.
"130" is one of ten tracks featured on El Chupacabra which feature eight new songs along with two previously released singles, "Early" (2012) and "Alice" (2013). Suren Unka describes "130" as being a salute to his own practice and to acknowledge as the 130th song this energetic young producer has written. With a broken drum beat and harp synth sound, he describes the vocal sample as sounding like a monster in captivity.
The album was mastered by famed Metropolis mastering engineer Stuart Hawkes, who previously worked with the likes of; Amy Winehouse, Rudimental, Sam Smith, Disclosure, Chase and Status and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, among many others.
El Chupcabra is scheduled for release on April 21st.
