British-Norwegian singer/songwriter and composer Sasha Siem began playing both the cello and the piano at an early age, in addition to writing, recording and performing her own songs. Having studied music and poetry at Cambridge University and Harvard University, by the time she reached her early twenties she had written and composed music for the London Symphony Orchestra, The Royal Opera House, The London Sinfonietta, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra as well as many others. In 2010, Sasha Siem became one of the youngest people ever to win the prestigious British Composer Award.
Following the release of her debut EP, So Polite released in February 2013, Sasha Siem has recently unveiled the music video for her new single, "Proof" - directed by Dan Ruiz of the Just So Collective. The single was produced by Valgeir Sigurðsson (Bjork, Bonnie Prince Billy, Feist) and recorded at Reykjavik's legendary Greenhouse Studios.
"Proof" will be released on limited edition vinyl on April 19th (Record Store Day ) before its full release on April 21st.
