Joel Compass - Girlfriends

Following the success of his previous single "Forgive Me", which peaked at number 34 in the UK charts, 21-year-old London-based R&B singer/songwriter and producer Joel Compass has just unveiled his latest single entitled "Girlfriends", which received its first play on Zane Lowe's show on BBC Radio 1. The single was produced by The Invisible Men (co-writers / producers of No. 1 hits for the likes of Iggy Azelia and DJ Fresh, etc.) and is taken from his forthcoming debut studio album Science due out early next year.

"Girlfriends" is an up-tempo summer smash with its infectious chorus, heavy bass line and Joel’s signature falsetto. With a music video for the single, directed by Rankin still to come, "Girlfriends" is destined to be one of the sounds of the summer.

In addition, Joel has also recently put together a six-track mixtape entitled, Natural Habitat, which premiered earlier this month on Pigeons & Planes. The mixtape features new songs from the album and unfinished demos and has already caused quite a stir online.

"Girlfriends" will be released on September 14th. Pre-order on iTunes.
