Jakil - Istanbul

Introducing London-based (via Edinburgh) quintet Jakil, comprised of Kieran O'Brien (lead vocals), Jamie Robertson (guitar / backing vocals), Liam Narrie (guitar / backing vocals), Kieran Grant (bass) and Callum Paterson (drums), who have just unveiled their infectious new single "Istanbul", the follow-up to their self-released debut single "Look Like Gold".

Jakil make pop-tinged guitar music sliced with white-boy soul - an unlikely combination for a band hailing from Edinburgh, but then Jakil aren't your typical ensemble. Having moved to London in 2010 to write and record under one roof in between the occasional house party, "Istanbul" sets a precedent of things to come from the five-piece who cite Fleetwood Mac and Michael Jackson among their influences.



"Istanbul" is will be released on September 28th via Sticky Lips Music.
