Introducing pop duo RUUMER, comprised of sisters Melissa and Jessica Labbadia. Formerly known as L2, who are most likely best known for their two chart-topping Billboard singles, "Boys Or Girls" and "Insomnia", the two have just recently relaunched their music career under their new moniker with the unveiling of their infectious new power pop anthem titled "House Of Cards", produced by Rick Markowitz, aka SmarterChild and Michael Miller. Currently splitting their time between Los Angeles and New York City, we can only speculate right now that RUUMER have a lot more in store for us.
In regards to the track, the sisters tell Idolator, who premiered the single earlier this week:
"There's all this pressure from society to live up to the status quo - everyone’s chasing money or fame. We wanted to write a song that was sort of like a ‘fuck you’ to that. Be present, be who you are."
