Introducing up-and-coming New York City-based indie pop songstress Kat Quinn, who back in March performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon during a skit called Battle of the Instant Songwriterss, where three musicians from the studio audience were selected and given one hour to write songs based on ridiculous titles. As Jimmy himself put it, "the results were awesome." Kat wrote and performed an original piece called "Clouds Are People Too", which subsequently led to her gaining fans nationwide. Since then, Kat has been hard at work gearing up for the release of her upcoming EP, Rust to Gold coming out October 6th. The first single to be lifted from the EP is called "That String", which premiered last week on Fanlala, who praised the single as "uplifting, catchy and a perfect song to listen to while relaxing on the beach." Listen to "That String" below along with her previous single, "Going Home" that was recently named Single of the Week by Alpha Beata.
