Swiss Lips - Got It Bad

Sad news friends. Manchester-based synth-pop group Swiss Lips have officially broken up after suffering from what they’re calling "major label syndrome". However, to mark the occasion, Swiss Lips will be releasing a second album called Overflowing Futures, scheduled for release on August 21st. The album will feature previously unreleased material, B-sides and remixes. To say farewell, the boys are today sharing the album's first single, "Got It Bad', which will be made available as a free download on Friday, August 21st.

Following the break-up Swiss Lips have issued the statement:

"We have decided that this is the end for Swiss Lips. The thing we loved the most became a drain, it's pretty gruesome out there for a small band in 2015. To anyone who cares or cared, we thank you for coming along for the ride, and more importantly for the support you gave, we truly appreciate it and had some amazing times. All ends bring new beginnings, hopefully see you around. Sam, Luke, Tim, Tom & Nic."

After gathering huge acclaim for their breakthrough single "U Got The Power" back in 2013, Swiss Lips released their infectious self-titled debut album back in March to critical acclaim. With comparisons to the likes of Imagine Dragons and Chvrches, Swiss Lips have been one of the most engaging bands in modern British music. Sharing the stage with other established artists such as Ladyhawke, Bastille and Blur, the band were tipped as one of Britain’s hottest prospects going into 2015 having brought a wealth of catchy pop tracks and infectious attitude to go with.
