Great music and great causes go hand in hand and that is why today we are giving extra special attention to Melbourne-based alternative R&B artist Xylo Aria, who has just released her debut EP Arrow. produced by Elliott Treves (who also produced Melwonder's debut single, "Games") and mastered by Gene "The Machine" Grimaldi (who has worked with Lana Del Rey, Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj, among many, many others). The compelling four-song EP features a variety of downtempo, ambient and melodic sounds, from the powerful and striking drum beat of the first single, "Colours" (video below) to the minimalist yet alluring piece that is "The Hurt".
Arrow is available now as a name your price download on Bandcamp. However, if you decide to purchase the EP, let it be known that your payment/donation will be going directly to Greenpeace Australia Pacific. As Xylo says, "The earth's taken decent care of us for a few years, I'd love to do a fraction of the same back for it." Limited edition CD copies of the EP with extra goodies are also available. Stream the EP in full here.
