Since first coming together less than two years ago, Los Angeles-based DJ/production duo Lost Kings, comrpised of
Robert Gainley and
Dr. No, have continuously offered up one killer remix after another for some of this year's best new artists such as
Tori Kelly,
Halsey,
Hayley Kiyoko and
Rozes, among many more others. However, today the boys are back to present us with their first official single called "Bad", which features guest vocals from fellow LA crooner
Jessame and serves as the lead track to be lifted from their forthcoming 3-song debut EP due for release on October 23rd via
Spinnin' Records.
Speaking on the track, Lost Kings told
Idolator (who premiered the single): "
'Bad' really speaks to who we are as musicians and transmits feel good vibes. We wanted to attain that old funk sound, mixed with some disco/R&B vocals. We really tried to create something timeless. We feel it’s a perfect blend of some of the sounds that inspire us most."
