Having been a musician for most of her life and growing up primarily with jazz and soul, Steele has merged the influences from the past and present to create her own personal sound. Already being compared to artists such as Massive Attack, Portishead, Björk and Pink Floyd, Steele's music is, what she herself calls: Dark and progressive.
Although just recently signed, her schedule is already packed for the rest of the year with a second single release, live performances and recording of new material for her debut EP, Black, which is scheduled to be released in late January 2016 via Firegate Music Group.
Speaking on the track, Steele says:
"From my own experience, even leaving someone is losing someone, and that is initially what 'Fade' is about. Allowing yourself to be empowered by destructiveness."
