et aliae (feat. D∆WN) - Sober

Singapore-raised, London-based pianist, composer and producer et aliae is gearing up to release her debut EP, Rose on March 4th via Cascine. Ahead of its release, et aliae has today unveiled her new single entitled "Sober", which sees her collaborating with none other than D∆WN (aka, Dawn Richard) to deliver a late night, downtempo jam that's as heartbreaking as it is lovely.The EP will also include her previous single, "Only U"

Speaking on the track, et aliae says:

"'Sober' was written as a song which plays on contrasting dark and light energies - the distorted percussion versus the sparkling mallets, the warm choral harmonies versus the bright vocal stabs, the struggle between 'intoxication' and 'sobriety'. It was an incredible opportunity working with D∆WN, she was the perfect voice for leading the listener through a journey that is dark but ultimately liberating."

D∆WN adds:

"I always adore working with artists who allow me to paint my vocals over their canvases. Collabs like this are organic and turn out magical."
