Having commanded the attention of the blogosphere this past November with the release of their debut single, "Free Animal", emerging indie duo Foreign Air, comprised of producer Jacob Michael and frontman Jesse Clasen, returns today with their second offering called "In The Shadows", a track that details the moment when a past relationship becomes a collage of memories hidden away, something to which any listener can relate. Featuring lush instrumentation, resilient piano chords, and mighty, entrancing percussion, the melody runs away from itself, surging forward steadily before its lucid comedown.
Speaking on the track, Foreign Air says:
"There is something very animalistic and ritualistic in the way we deal with putting the past away. You get tunnel vision and don't see all the other great things and people around you. You’ve got to keep your head up or you won't see the things that lie ahead of you."
Listen to "In The Shadows" below and stay tuned for more new music from Foreign Air soon as they are set to release their debut EP later this spring.
Premiere via Nylon.
