Wolkoff - The Homecoming

Brooklyn-based, Canadian electro-pop artist (Joanie) Wolkoff, who you may remember from her former projects such as Her Habits, Gemology and Foxe Basin, has today unveiled her new single called "The Homecoming", which also serves as the first single to be taken from her forthcoming debut album, Without Shame, produced by Icarus Moth and engineered by the Grammy award-winning Ariel Borujow (Kanye West, Madonna and Nicki Minaj).

Speaking on the track, Wolkoff explains:

"'The Homecoming,' like its neighboring jams on the LP, is as much about the choices we make in spite of shame as it is about the bets we hedge because of it. I wanted to lay down a vocal performance that'd coil in giddy, hungry-cat figure eights around the ankles of this epic discovery: a hidden detour tucked away between the leaps and bounds each of us makes on the way to declaring our cosmic turf and planting a flag there."

Stream both "The Homecoming" and "Going Back", her massive collaborative single with The Hood Internet, below.

Without Shame will be released on April 15th.

Premiere via Noisey.
