In honor of International Women's Day, London-based producer, songwriter and vocalist Kelly Lee Owens has today unveiled her new single called "1 of 3", a song about empowerment that also serves as a taster of what's to be expected from her highly anticipated debut album. Written, performed and produced entirely by Kelly herself, the track emerges draped in mystique, whilst Kelly's delivery is soothing and patient throughout.
"1 of 3" further displays Kelly's versatile talents as both an artist and a multi-talented producer, able to move from dark clubby tracks to exquisite vocal lead pop. At the end of last summer her minimal techno rework of Jenny Hval's "Kingsize" was released via Sacred Bones and awarded Best New Music on Pitchfork. Whilst her striking electronic ode to Arthur Russel was recently chosen by Alexander McQueen to accompany their AW16 collection. 2016 looks set to be a banner year for London's new underground pop queen.
