Cherryade - The Crown

London-based duo Cherryade continue to solidify themselves as bonafide ones to watch with their second offering entitled "The Crown", the electrifying follow-up to their debut single, "Fractured Fairytales", which resonated unbelievably well with the industry tastemakers and press alike, making it straight onto the New Music Friday playlist on Spotify and Apple Music's ‘Best Of The Week’

Recalling the spiky, colourful, synth-heavy, sounds of early M.I.A., these London newcomers are out to make a defiant point. Working with the likes of Shaun Canning (Atom Tree), Dimitri Tikovoi (Charli XCX, MNEK), Lewis Gardiner (PRIDES, KLOE) and Ian Watt (GIRLI) on their debut EP, which will be announced soon.

Speaking on the track, Cherryade says:

"We wrote 'The Crown' about growing up in a small town where nobody had any ambition, and if you did you were laughed at. We then ran away to London and realised everything is the same everywhere you go. People are always going to talk about you, and make a big deal out of nothing. This is the song that made us realise we don't give a shit anymore."
