VÉRITÉ - Somebody Else (The 1975 Cover)

Following the release of her Living EP back in early May, New York City-based alt-pop songstress Kelsey Byrne, aka VÉRITÉ returns today with the unveiling of her highly infectious rendition of The 1975's single, "Somebody Else" off their recently released sophomore album, I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It. The track also marks the start of her 25-date tour across the US with Marian Hill and SHAED (who just released their debut EP, Just Wanna See).

Speaking on the track, VÉRITÉ says:

""I'm not too keen on covers, but every once in a while they fall into place. It's nice to take a break from burying myself in my music and writing for a minute and experiment with something new. I am a big fan of the 1975's vision, aesthetic and how effective their writing is. 'Somebody Else' is so simple, relatable and well written. I really wanted to take it into my world and reinterpret it a bit.""
