Introducing British singer/songwriter Carys Selvey, who has today unveiled her debut single, "Shallow", which she recorded with
Mac & Phil - most famous for working with Emeli Sandé. It only takes a few seconds for "Shallow" to leave a lasting impression as Carys' voice emerges, both tender and melodic, building into a song which exudes maturity and soul. It’s songwriting you would expect from someone whose talents had been seasoned by decades of performance and heartache, however, Carys is just 17 years old. Carys has been writing songs since she was six, when she proudly announced to her parents that she'd written a song for the England team in the 2006 World Cup. Fast forward nearly a decade and a chance meeting with Sony executive Doug Morris and Carys has quickly developed into quite an accomplished songwriter, not to mention one of the youngest signings to Sony ATV publishing (closely followed by Taylor Swift)
