Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter and producer Charles Fauna, who recently co-wrote and provided vocals on Glassio's track "Morning House", has today unveiled his new single called "Abandon", the follow-up to "Hypnosis", released earlier this year. Described by Fauna himself as "a euphoric fuck you to anyone that has ever told you to conform or be a certain way", the song was written as a reminder that it's always possible to reimagine things and sonically tips its hat to the experimental pop sound of Phoenix and Passion Pit. It's loud, colorful, defiant, and reflective of the personal struggles that Charles was dealing with when the song was first written nearly a year ago.
Listen to "Abandon" below.
Premiere via Nylon.
